Value at the Value Engineering Summit in Dubai

Value Engineering can make a considerable difference to the success of a project and a client’s bottom line. Value Engineering has emerged as a divisive issue in the regional construction industry, with advocates and doubters sparring over its effectiveness and viability in reducing costs, and improving efficiency and operations on projects. In order to gain a clear understanding about what Value Engineering actually entails, and how it can be best implemented, Big Project Middle East hosted a summit that will address key issues and topics around the subject. 

Through a series of dialogues, the Summit offered professionals an opportunity to discuss, debate and define the various solutions that Value Engineering can offer.

CCS Gulf participated at the Value Engineering Summit held at the Grand Habtoor in Dubai, with our very own Fady Kobersy presenting on  “Technology in Construction Value Engineering” as well as participating in a panel discussion on "With the growing demand to do more with less funds, project owners and managers are increasingly looking to adopt the best practices of Value Engineering to identify and eliminate unnecessary costs." This discussion looked at how software and hardware technology can be utilised across the various stages of construction to achieve the best results in the Value Engineering process.

Fady's presentation focused on Using Technology For Value Engineering

The presentation addressed the brief history of Value Engineering with a focus on the construction industry and included a guideline framework for its application. In parallel to how Technology and Information Sharing has progressed through the years, the collaboration between the two industries was identified.

The presentation aimed to introduce a simple strategic vision outlining the principles and purposes of VE together with its implementation in our projects using advanced technology.
