User-Defined Imports


Course Outline

User Defined Imports are a tool that allows for the bulk upload of data into BuildSmart.  The process enables either a System Administrator or End User to capture the data needed in a spreadsheet and then import this into the system with the normal validations being applied as though it had been captured manually.  This time-saving process can greatly increase the speed of master data updates, stock takes, stock issues and the capture of plant returns.

BuildSmart User with access to relevant master files

Pre-Requisites

  • Good accounting skills
  • Computer literacy and keyboard proficiency is assumed



Curriculum

  • User Defined Imports that allow for the bulk upload of data into or out of BuildSmart.
  • Capture the data needed in a spreadsheet and then import this into the system with the normal validations being applied as though it had been captured manually
  • Increase the speed of master data updates, stock takes, stock issues and the capture of plant returns
